"BELOVED, WE ARE AS ONE" OIL PAINTING

My friend Diana, in the UK, has a timeless and pure bond with her horse, Hechizo. I recognized this magic and painting them has been a great joy for me.

Hechizo and Diana have what all of us in love with our horses want, even though so pure and intense a love is bittersweet at times. It is true: Love hurts. The goodbye comes. Hehizo is not young now and this was a very hard winter for him.
I suppose I could have painted this in something besides oils, but oils seem to be the way I always express myself. This painting was small too, and I think I may paint them again, but larger. Something I can keep.
